well.. i have to be honest.. im an avid fan of the tv show Miami Ink.. for those who have not heard of the show before, well basically it is about a tattoo shop.. it is seriously addictive.. i mean if you look it at a negative note, it might promote people to get tattoos.. but then again, many are already doing that.. and this post is not one that judges or debates about tattoo.. i just like to watch the art.. i mean i have to agree that body paint is definitely pretty.. i mean you should seriously watch the pattern and the pictures they draw.. it is seriously beautiful! i really have to give some credit to the creativity they have shown! i really recommend you guys to watch!
in this episode, they showed about this guy who had a tattoo of the twin towers in New York.. a picture before september 11.. he wanted to remember the tower as he used to skate around the area.. however, at the end of the episode, they showed a tribute to him as they found out that he had died.. it was sweet..
but today, news of deaths are plenty..

Sleeping Beauty (The Singapore Edition)

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess, who was put under a spell by an evil witch. She slept for a very long time.
Then, came three men, Mat,Muthu and Ah Beng, who wanted to break the spell so as to make the princess their bride.
Muthu: Very simple! I will cook curry chicken for her! I am sure the smell will wake her up!
But the sleeping beauty continued sleeping.
Ah Beng: Blather, move aside move aside! I will turn on my techno songs and dance to para2! I am sure she will wake up!
But the sleeping beauty continued sleeping.
Finally,
Mat: Relak lar brader! Now i go get my bike and i will trottle! I am sure she will wake up!
BUt the sleeping beauty continued sleeping.
Then, came an ugly prince, who simply kissed her cheeks..
AND...
the sleeping beauty woke up!

And that was the activity I had in my Learning to Teach English today! creating a story and retelling it with puppets! haha.. it was one of the best activities the groups had to do! it was simply amazing being able to be creative and embrace the experience of being children.. i simply respect and adore my teacher.. she definitely made my learning so much more enjoyable!

Fun Science

Science lessons are supposedly the most interesting lessons for kids in primary schools.. the experiments definitely intrigue them.. well, it only becomes a chore in JC.. trust me.. i used to really like Science in secondary school.. even though it was getting far less interesting due to the in depth Science theories.. but i enjoyed because i actually understand the topics learnt.. in JC, it got totally touagh.. i did love my yr 2 physics teacher, but physics was just tough and dry..
looking on the bright side, learning to teach Science in NIE is a hell lot of fun even though it is tough too.. i mean as you grow in the education system, you are bound to face more challenging problems right? Today for my Subject Knowledge in Science, we were able to measure our blood pressure and hear our heart beats and stuffs.. for bio students, forgive me for my excitement.. i mean this is my first time being able to handle this instruments.. it was seriously exciting! haha..
later in the afternoon, i had Learning to teach Science in which we had 3 experiments to do.. and i had a hell of a great time with my usual group of Science mates.. haha.. we created a mess and laugh at each other.. it was CRAZEE.. haha.. well, here's some photos i took in class.. ENJOY!!

SURPRISE NO. 1: lisa gave me a bear balloon!! hehe.. i luv it! n i luv my roomie too!! hehe.. sori my v-dae pressie to u is juz lunch! hehehe.. n its fascinating to juz sit at the side n look at pple walking past us.. we taking pics juz to pass the time.. hehe.. simple yet fun activity to do!
SURPRISE NO 2: Wayne surprised us with pizza! haha.. we were made to believe that he was going to buy take-aways from the canteen in hall 2.. but he secretly ordered pizza for us.. haha.. so sweet of him reli! the surprise was executed quite well.. he suddenly vanished for quite some time while me n lisa were playing monopoly.. we gt a bit suspicious bcos it reli was a long time.. so we tot he was going to gif us a surprise! but he came back empty handed.. haha.. later the coven was blown bcos the pizza delivery guy called n wayne had to tell him the way to our dorm! haha.. we actually knew it was a pizza but we din realise it was going to b the heart-shaped strawberry hawaian pizza! hahaa.. thx a lot MRB!! oh ya it stands for my-roomie's-boyfren.. hahaha..
SURPRISE NO. 3: n dis is given by a few of my PESS frens.. =D hw sweet of them.. hehe.. n ohya there was 2 packets of small cute boxes of milo given with the flower.. but i din take pics of it.. mayb next wk.. =p

went for my dad's gd fren's daughter engagement on Saturday.. she is 24 and i wud sae a good age to be engaged.. i am happy to see her almost legally attached according to religion but it kinda scares me.. i mean our families grew up together u see.. since we were little, we went for holidays together.. know each others' psle, o'levels n poly/jc results n stuffs.. n now she is getting engaged.. the biological clock definitely ticks quickly wen u reach 20.. as she saed, as u turn 21, u suddenly realise how u r aging quickly.. u realise ure 20 dis yr n in a short time, ure turning 21! if only i can rewind the time n go back to those carefree days where you just do wad u please.. responsibilities are pushed aside.. lyk my secondary skool daes.. =D but then, time waits for no man rite? n im striving for a better education.. i need to help my parents out.. its one of the oni small gestures i can do to repay them for all they haf done for me.. =)
oh ya.. funny how in the midst of the celebration n stuffs, we can actually play UNO! hahaha.. a definitely good engagement celebration i wud sae! small, simple n full of laughters!

been very lazy to update.. haha.. went to watch my kids play hockey the other day.. just nd to relax after a week of work.. k fine tats juz an excuse! hahaha.. but my day was reli brightened up thx to them.. the fact tat i din submit my form to request to return teaching at punggol pri n the students n teachers kp asking me wen m i returning makes me feel kinda bad.. especially the students.. if i happen to be posted to another skool.. haha.. lets nt go there.. acceptance i guess.. not really a choice they can make.. so now let the pics do the talking k? im lazy to write so much actually.. =P
